Sure, here's a recipe for rice fry!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or a large skillet over high heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook it till it becomes completely transparent.
Add chopped garlic ginger to the pan and cook for a minute.
Add the chopped carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
Add the chopped bell peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
Then add the fully cooked rice to the pan and mix it all together for a while.
Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper to the pan and mix everything together.
Cook for another 5-7 minutes until everything is heated through and the rice starts to turn slightly crispy.
Add the thinly sliced green onions to the pan and cook for another minute.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes:
You can use any type of rice for this recipe, but I prefer to use leftover white rice that has been refrigerated overnight.
You can add any other vegetables you like to this recipe, such as broccoli, mushrooms, or snap peas.
If you want to make this recipe vegetarian or vegan, you can use a vegetarian oyster sauce or leave it out altogether.
If you don't like spicy food, you can omit the chili flakes or reduce the amount you use.
You can also add some protein to this recipe, such as cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu. Just add it to the pan before you add the rice.
