paneer tikka recipe-How did you make this

Paneer tikka is a popular North Indian dish made by marinating chunks of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) in a spiced yogurt mixture and then grilled or baked to perfection. It can be served as a snack or as a main course with naan or roti. Here's a recipe to make paneer tikka at home:

Ingredients:

400 grams paneer, cut into cubes

1 cup thick yogurt

2 tablespoons besan (gram flour)

1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon chaat masala

1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons oil

Wooden skewers

Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, besan, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, black pepper powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.

Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat each cube with the mixture. Cover the bowl with cling wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. You can also marinate the paneer overnight for a more intense flavor.

If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning during cooking.

Preheat your oven to 200°C or preheat your grill.

Thread the spiced paneer pieces into the sink, leaving a little space between each cube so that it cooks properly.

Brush the paneer skewers with oil on all sides.

Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or on the grill.

If baking, bake the paneer skewers for 15-20 minutes, turning them over once in between, until they are golden brown and slightly charred on the edges.

If grilling, grill the paneer skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and slightly charred on the edges.

Remove the paneer skewers from the oven or grill and transfer them to a serving plate.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with mint chutney, onion slices, and lemon wedges.

Enjoy your homemade paneer tikka with your family and friends!
