Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of paneer
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

Cut the paneer into small cubes and keep them aside.

Finely chop the onions and tomatoes and keep them in separate bowls.

Slit the green chillies and keep them aside.

Heat oil in a pan aur add cumin सीड्स दाने  to it. Let them splutter for a few seconds.

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and sauté for a minute.

Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt to the pan and mix well.

Cook the masala for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the sides.

Add the cubed paneer to the masala and mix gently. One thing should be kept in mind that the paneer pieces should not break.

Cover the pan and cook the paneer on low heat for 5-7 minutes.

Sprinkle garam masala powder over the paneer and mix well.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

Tips:


You can add more or less spice as per your preference.

You can also add some cream to the dish for a richer taste.

Make sure that the paneer is not overcooked as it can become tough and chewy.

You can also add some vegetables like capsicum or peas to the dish to make it more nutritious.
